Blood oranges

BLOOD ORANGES 🍊🍊🍊 . 
In the UK we get most of our blood oranges from Italy. One of the last truly #seasonal fruits these bad boys are in season from Dec-March, though some species are available until May, and are completely #DELICIOUS! The name comes from the flesh which has the richest ruby red colour. The pigment comes from a natural chemical called anthocyanin which also gives other brightly fruit and veg their colours and is anti-inflammatory and anti-carcinogenic

If you’re lucky these oranges are the sweetest juiciest most incredible tasting fruit and bloody good for you too. Who needs left over Easter eggs? Best eaten in the sunshine if you’re lucky enough to be somewhere hot, otherwise just close your eyes and ENJOY! 😋😋😋
