Roasted chickpeas : airdry presoaked or canned chickpeas. Bake in the oven at a low heat until crispy (normally 20-30 minutes) with a liberal coating of coconut/oliveoil. Cover in flavour of choice.

💭 Smoked paprika

💭 Tamari sauce
💭Cinnamon and vanilla essence
💭 Cayenne pepper and Tabasco sauce
💭Sea salt and black pepper

Chickpeas are a legume, they are a good sauce of starchy carbohydrates,fibre and plant based protein. Hands up who’s suffering 🙋‍♀️

My life is generally made miserable around May and June. Like I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy miserable. And no amount of antihistamine seemed to make a difference (Though cutting down on sugar, processed food and dairy plus eating foods that are low in histamine did help for sure) Plus taking any medication long term carries risk, no matter how seemingly ‘harmless’ or common.

Then through research into other more natural remedies I have come across some really interesting products which seem to be easing some of the discomfort.

First up, one thing I am trying is nasal light therapy - this works by preventing the release of histamine and making the overactive immune response in the nasal cells less acute. Twice a day for three minutes. And YES IT ACTUALLY WORKS! It’s called sneezer beam by LifeMax. Available from that well known internet retailer 😉

BAKING

I’m not going to lie, I definitely don’t bake as much as I’d like to. Lack of time and with two children and a baby it’s bloody messy, there never seems to be enough time, the children end up eating half of it straight out the bowl...but every so often I suck it up and we do actually have a great time concocting something which is a cross between something mummy thinks is reasonably healthy and children think is reasonably fun. 

These were sweet potato biscuits with no sweetener or sugar. Recipe from @superhealthykids. In truth they were more like gorgeously fluffy scones but they had they for breakfast so absolutely no complaints at the GP household.  (

I gave up meat nearly a year ago and haven’t looked back. Once upon a time a great big steak was a massive treat to me. Now it’s a big plate of veggies (like this one) that floats my boat ⛵️ My many reasons for giving up meat were personal and whilst I don’t have a problem with clients eating meat (#grassfed and #organic if possible!) 🎉BUT🎉 I do feel most people in this country could do with cutting it down.
