It’s a tradition in our house that I sing “Ooooohhhh falafels” to the tune of “Ooooohhh Vienna”. I feel it makes them taste better 🇦🇹 Here are some good reasons to eat falafels more:
👉Chickpeas are something I feel are a pretty good food to eat daily in one form or another. A cup of chickpeas is equivalent to roughly half your fibre needs as an adult (we should have around 25g) and with the recent news that 90% of westerners are falling drastically short of fibre requirements https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/health-46827426 this is a GREAT way to up your fibre intake 👉Also chickpeas are high in #folate and #manganese. Manganese is one of the least talked about minerals but it’s an essential especially for joint health - creaky knees get some manganese! 👉Typically deep fried this Middle Eastern dish tastes just as good baked in the oven and might be a bit better for the waistline 💃🏻 👉Falafels really are ace for all the fam - babies, toddlers, tweens, teens, oldies. A great meal for everyone, easy to make and pretty easy to eat 😉 Serve with a big salad and some tahini sauce and Saturday night supper is a go-go! So there you have it, falafels are chickpea balls of goodness - eat them more👌 #ultravox #saturdaysupper #healthytakeaway #falafels #chickpeas #garbanzos #fibre #instanutrition #fiber #dinnerinspo #realfood #instahealth #healthyinspiration #healthyfood #healthyfamily #blw #babyledweaning #kidsnutrition #kidsfood #middleeasternfood #mezze #gingerandpicklesnutrition
