Change of season, change pace, slowing down and learning to warm and nourish our bodies rather than cooling during the hotter months.
Does this mean we give up on delicious salads - absolutely not! Learn to use warming autumnal ingredients in your salads such as: 👉starchy veg roasted butternut squash, pumpkin, sweet potato, carrots even roasted white potatoes 👉 heating herbs such as garlic, rosemary, mustard and ginger to dress your salad. I’m a big fan of tahini too 👉 roasted veg such as onions, peppers, broccoli and tomatoes 👉 and don’t forget some protein I’ve used plant based sources warmed falafels, and hummus but equally some salmon, warm chicken or grilled halloumi 👉 and some lovely huge olives and cashews for some of my ‘good’ fats 👉 lastly just a simple act of making sure your ingredients are warm can make a big difference. 🍁🍁🍁 Warming and nourishing and bloody delicious 👏PIMP THOSE SALADS UP 🙌 #nomnom #vegstagram #salads #dinnerinspo #healthylifestyle #healthyfamily #foodpimp #amateurfoodie #foodasmedicine #tuesdaytips #nutritiontips #gingerandpicklesnutrition
