A bit of a different post as really it is nothing to do with food. But then oral health is extremely important to overall health (researchers have found a link which hasn’t yet been understood between chronic gum disease and many serious conditions) And this is all about a subject I am pretty passionate about - #environmentalism and #sustainability . And it’s #worldenvironmentday today so worth a thought.
____________ 4.7billion toothbrushes are thrown away every year. And they are not recyclable and they don’t biodegrade. How heartbreaking is that? Every toothbrush I have ever thrown away will most likely still be around long after I am, and becomes the problem of my children’s generation. 😢 ____________ By contrast these toothbrushes are fully compostable, plus bamboo is a sustainable material as well as being #antibacterial and #antifungal to boot. ____________ These stylish little bamboo beauties from @from_earth_to_earth were purchased at the #naturaldispensary and are a great start to making simple changes to reduce single use plastics in our lives. And really much more beautiful than a crappy plastic toothbrush, no?! ____________ They are a UK based company with a great ethos, committed to helping the environment with their great product. So bravo! Available in kids sizes too. 👏 ____________ #sustainabiltymatters #bamboo #plasticfree #saveourwaves #zerowaste #reduceplasticwaste #reducesingleuseplastic #reducereuserecycle #plasticfree #saveourplanet #fromcitytosea #simpleswaps #saynotoplastic #greenpeaceuk #biodegradable #vegan #eco #gingerandpicklesnutrition
